Subject:   problem with libc_r (uthread_close.c) in 4.8-STABLE

Unsure what exactly the problem is, but when using 4.8-STABLE I was unable
to compile MySQL (it failed during configure phase)..

On further investigation, the following code segment when compiled with
phtreads, results in a segmentation fault:

#include <stdio.h>
typedef long long longlong;
main()
{
  longlong ll=1;
  float f;
  FILE *file=fopen("conftestval", "w");
  f = (float) ll;
  fprintf(file,"%g\n",f);
  close(file);
  exit (0);
}

If I roll back uthread_close.c to Revision 1.10.2.3, the above code
segment works ok so I would assume that there is a bug somewhere in the
latest revision of uthread_close.c?

Regards,
Paul.

NB: I'm not on the -stable list.
