The motherboard in question is an A/Open MX3S. When ifconfig up'ing the interface during boot, the IP stack sends a gratuitous ARP to detect if another station is using the same MAC address. This results in the following errors: fxp0: DMA timeout fxp0: SCB timeout: 0xff 0xff 0xff 0xffff fxp0: SCB timeout: 0xff 0xff 0xff 0xffff fxp0: SCB timeout: 0xff 0xff 0xff 0xffff fxp0: device timeout The ARP packets are not transmitted successfully. >How-To-Repeat: Simply boot a kernel on such a board, and try to use the onboard fxp. >Fix: >Release-Note: >Audit-Trail: >Unformatted: To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-bugs" in the body of the message
