AFAIK, the Adaptec SlimSCSI 1460A will only work with FreeBSD 4.0-CURRENT.
I think the PC Card attachment as well as some CAM patches were only put
in recently.  I believe some people have this working sucessfully already.

The good news is that the 2nd 4.0-RELEASE candidate was just made
available so you might want to try that out.
