Hi,

I guess we both submitted new maxima ports. Maxima has been developed at
maxima.sourceforge.net since William Schelter passed away in 2001. I know
I didn't discover this until recently. The Schelter's utexas site
unfortunately does not mention sourceforge at all.

Edwin Groothuis <edwin@FreeBSD.org> sent me the following update.
Essentially he wants to know if he should update the math/maxima from 5.6
to 5.9rc3 using my port and if you or I should maintain? You can use my
port to update to 5.9rc3 (the latest release) if you like. Your port uses
cmucl and mine uses use clisp (5.9rc3 supports many lisps out of the box).
I'm fine with maintaining if you prefer. I planed on submitting imaxima
(http://www.ifa.au.dk/~harder/imaxima.html) once maxima is in the ports
again.

Thanks,
