I've been trying to get a single-frame capture program to work with my STB board and I'm having an odd problem. Since the driver is a bit complex to absorb all at once :) I'm hoping someone will have already seen this. The image is captured, but there is a diagonal stripe across the top third of the image. Almost like the image is out of sync, but it otherwise isn't... I'm using a version of the meteor capture program (with a few changes to speed it up) from Bill Lloyd. (The unchanged program does the same thing.) I'm using version 1.25 of the bt driver (tried the previous one). Oh, and FreeBSD 2.2.5. I ran fxtv as a test and it more-or-less works. That is, it works only if I start the X server in a mode (16 bpp) that allows direct access to the visual. (In any other mode, I get about one frame update each time I click the camera icon twice rather than continuous video.) When it is working in direct mode the TV image is fine, but I do get random corruption on the rest of the screen from time to time when I move windows. Anyway, this was just to make sure the card was running at all... If anyone has any thoughts I'd appreciate it. I know the description is a bit vague and I'd be happy to send sample images for analysis if there is any interest in looking at them. :) Thanks, Dan Lanciani ddl@harvard.edu To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-multimedia" in the body of the message
