	Very true -- the latest (01.00.08, I think) displays
	a plain "Intel Corporation" message.

	This was mentioned in the list archives, yes:  it always
	fails in standard mode -- you have to move the jumper
	to the up position, boot blind, wait for two beeps,
	turn off the system, and put the jumper back down.
