Boot into the FreeBSD installer, (either via floppy, or via CD-Rom as you 
would have previously), go to Configure, then to 'fdisk', highlight the 
partition(s) you want to be made active (bootable), and the press the 'w' 
key. Pressing w will write the information to the mbr. You can then exit 
the installer and reboot. You should not have to do anything to configure 
the bootmgr, just install it.
