What is the CD-ROM setup as? master or slave? primary or secondary channel? What make/model is it? Is it *definitely and IDE device and not a proprietry one (Sony, Panasonic/Matsushita)? Try ``boot -v'' (verbose). As it suggests it gives more verbose output. It may give us a clue. -- FreeBSD - The Power To Serve http://www.freebsd.org My Webpage http://www.users.globalnet.co.uk/~markov _______________________________________________________________ Mark Ovens, CNC Apps Engineer, Radan Computational Ltd.
