You could install ssh1 first, and in fact the 'make install' in /usr/ports for 
ssh2 recommends this if I recall it correctly..

If you install ssh1, and then on top of it ssh2, the ssh2 client will be the
default, with a message along the lines of:

	Executing ssh1 for compatibility with server.

and you can always use 'ssh' for connecting to ssh2 servers, obviously.
