The regional Bells are pushing ISDN because they've invested billions in the
technology and
they're in danger of losing their dial-tone customers to competition due to
de-regulation. They're going
to lose much of their revenue base and they need to have a use for the ports
on their switches. If you
think its the next "great upgrade" you're badly mistaken.
