Dunno much about this, but if it's not recognising all your RAM, you need
to put in your kernel the line 
options "MAXMEM=32768" 
assuming you have 32MB.

The instructions for editing the kernel are in the handbook. I had to do
this on my old ProLinea, and it utilised all the RAM in the machine.
