Hi, I'd be very grateful if some committer could have a look at PR #ports/48937, and commit before the upcoming freeze. It contains an amount of bugfixes that would probably still qualify it after the freeze, but it also introduces features which would be hard to separate from the fixes, so I'd really appreciate this PR commited and closed soon. This port upgrade has been overdue anyways and was deferred for another like 9 hours because of a last-minute bugfix. Thanks in advance.
