Hi!

What's this?

sh -v MAKEDEV
...
# Control bit for SCSI
scsictl=$((1 << 29))
MAKEDEV: arith: syntax error: ""

uname -a reveals:
FreeBSD trumpet.partitur.se 2.2.7-STABLE FreeBSD 2.2.7-STABLE #0: Mon
Jul 27 16:37:05 CEST 1998
girgen@trumpet.partitur.se:/usr/src/sys/compile/TRUMPET  i386

I see on most of our machines. The MAKEDEV script is fresh and doesn't
diff from the just now cvsupped src tree.

/Palle
