Both. > And in either case, is there anything that can be done to prevent removal? Yes, apply to become maintainer. See below for details. Please note that xmailbox uses imake, which is a very ancient way to build a software that depends on X11. Because imake will probably stop begin supported sometimes in the future, please consider updating the software so that it builds without imake in the future. To become maintainer, send a problem report (PR) using send-pr and a diff which changes the MAINTAINER to your email. --- Makefile.orig 2014-03-31 17:08:29.000000000 +0200 +++ Makefile 2014-03-31 17:09:02.000000000 +0200 @@ -8,11 +8,9 @@ MASTER_SITES= ${MASTER_SITE_XCONTRIB} MASTER_SITE_SUBDIR= applications -MAINTAINER= ports@FreeBSD.org +MAINTAINER= freebsd@skysmurf.nl COMMENT= Mailbox checker with sound and animation for X Window System -DEPRECATED= Unmaintained since 2000 -EXPIRATION_DATE= 2014-04-11 USES= imake USE_XORG= xaw MAN1= xmailbox.1 -- pi@opsec.eu +49 171 3101372 6 years to go !
