Yes, we tried using CHS, LBA, and LARGE modes... all of them showed as 12 
GIG under BIOS, but only 8.4 under freeBSD. Interestingly, when in CHS 
mode, BIOS shows:

 	 23361 CYL / 16 HD / 63 SEC

and freeBSD sees:

	 16383 CYL / 16 HD / 63 SEC
