All of a sudden today I'm getting lockups. NO idea why. Nothing has
been upgraded in about 2 weeks, and I've started and shutdown the
computer a few times with no issue. It was up 6 days before it happened.

Now, within 10 or so minutes of running X it locks up. The rest of the
machine is fine...

I tried to start X from an SSH session on another machine to see if
there was any indications I might have missed, and nothing I can
see. If I kdump it, I see :

  1014 Xorg PSIG SIGALRM caught handler=0x8181cb8 mask=0x0 code=0x0
  1014 Xorg CALL sigreturn(0xbfbfe3a0)
  1014 Xorg RET sigreturn JUSTRETURN
  1014 Xorg PSIG SIGALRM caught handler=0x8181cb8 mask=0x0 code=0x0
  1014 Xorg CALL sigreturn(0xbfbfe3a0)
  1014 Xorg RET sigreturn JUSTRETURN
  1014 Xorg PSIG SIGALRM caught handler=0x8181cb8 mask=0x0 code=0x0
  1014 Xorg CALL sigreturn(0xbfbfe3a0)
  1014 Xorg RET sigreturn JUSTRETURN
  1014 Xorg PSIG SIGALRM caught handler=0x8181cb8 mask=0x0 code=0x0
  1014 Xorg CALL sigreturn(0xbfbfe3a0)
  1014 Xorg RET sigreturn JUSTRETURN
  1014 Xorg PSIG SIGALRM caught handler=0x8181cb8 mask=0x0 code=0x0
  1014 Xorg CALL sigreturn(0xbfbfe3a0)
  1014 Xorg RET sigreturn JUSTRETURN
  1014 Xorg PSIG SIGALRM caught handler=0x8181cb8 mask=0x0 code=0x0
  1014 Xorg CALL sigreturn(0xbfbfe3a0)
  1014 Xorg RET sigreturn JUSTRETURN
  1014 Xorg PSIG SIGALRM caught handler=0x8181cb8 mask=0x0 code=0x0
  1014 Xorg CALL sigreturn(0xbfbfe3a0)
  1014 Xorg RET sigreturn JUSTRETURN

I've tried to ^C and ^\ the startx, but to no avail. I can ^Z it, but
that doesn't buy me anything.

                      Thanks,Tuc
