I'm not getting that far that I have a shell on VTY 4. So I cannot say.
adc0c must be there since it finds the existing FreeBSD partition
and does the fsck on it.

Later I was able to do a fresh install on a second disk (ad2) which I put in
the bay slot.

Will try again this afternoon.
