Then insert the line:

setenv LD_LIBRARY_PATH /usr/lib:/usr/local/lib:/usr/X11R6/lib

into your .cshrc.  This line (or something very much like it, but probably
missing /usr/local/lib for you) is probably in your /etc/sysconfig.
