To whomever is taking care of that:  Please also add an
entry to /boot/defaults/loader.conf in the "Other modules"
section, like this:

padlock_load="NO"      # Crypto + RNG in VIA C3, C7 and Eden CPUs

(I do have padlock_load="YES" in my /boot/loader.conf for
ages.  It's working perfectly fine.)
