I've installed 4.4 on this system when it had a different video card and no modem, here are the specs: ABIT KT7E motherboard ATI Xpert 2000 Pro video card standard floppy and cdrom drives Sound Blaster 16 ISA card Western Digital 20 Gig hard drive external parallel port zip drive (older type) US Robotics 2977 internal pci hardware modem (works in linux) Epson Stylus Color 600 attached to the zip drive Old HP 14 inch monitor When I took out the modem the system froze with the console message: mounting root from ufs:/dev/md0c >How-To-Repeat: try to install freebsd 4.5 (or 4.4) on my hardware >Fix: >Release-Note: >Audit-Trail: >Unformatted: To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-bugs" in the body of the message
