Yes I tried it - but I had another problem:
Padre requires a Perl built using threads!

Do you have Perl with threads?
How did you made it?

I used the Perl that is instaled with FreeBSD 7.1.

I hope that the Perl 5.10 port will have threads by default - this is what U
see in Perl with other OS'es.
