OK, I've put two files into ftp.alphalinux.org/people/rpayne/ for your BSD friend (sorry but I nuked his email address at some point). One is just the marketing pamphlet of the EBSDK, the other is the original ARC spec. I'm working on getting more out, the problem is that it is still a Compaq owned/copyrighted thingy, API does not own it. I'm seeing Maddog this weekend and I'll bring it up with him, I'm pretty sure Compaq would be willing to donate some of the SDKs to the BSD guys...
