If you install any of the default IP firewall code on FBSD, it drops
packets on the floor by default. It won't send RST packets unless a
special rule is added. A lot of people don't really understand enough
to do that.

Thanks. Although, as I suggested, just providing a mirror that carried
the patches would've worked also. Why doesn't GNU keep them in their ftp
server's bash dir?
