Hi, portupgrade -f perl-5.8.8_1 erases from /etc/make.conf all lines, which contain literals "PERL", including lines: WITHOUT_PERL_MALLOC=yes WITHOUT_USE_PERL=yes and replaces all of them with just 3 lines: # added by use.perl 2007-11-19 13:34:51 PERL_VER=5.8.8 PERL_VERSION=5.8.8 This seemingly violates an idea, that everything put by hand into /etc/... should be kept intact. If this is an intended behavior of the port, could you please recommend how to go around this. All the best, Sergei
