>Description: I rebuilt the nvidia driver with all the latest bits. It will start just fine, the kernel module loads with no problems and X starts fine. Everything works okay for a while, then with no warning the system freezes. It's a hard hang, most likely with interrupts disabled, since it's completely unresponsive, the firewire console dies, X is of course frozen, the only recourse is a power cycle. I considered other possibilities for a long time, but I've convinced myself that the hang has to be related to the nvidia driver. I'm now running the nv driver and, with all else the same (configuration, hardware, drivers, etc.) I've seen no hangs at all. Might this be some kind of incompatibility with 6-current? This is kind of a pain since I want 6 for the ath wireless fixes but the nvidia driver for the speed and 3D support. >How-To-Repeat: >Fix: >Release-Note: >Audit-Trail: >Unformatted:
