If you plug a TV into the back of a Matrox Mystique G200 before you boot the system, it will automatically enable TV out on all of the "text" modes, but it turns off the TV-out when I go into X. This may be a resolution thing though, I run X on a fixed sync monitor (1280x1024), and IIRC you can't use that resolution with the TV. Downside: Running the TV out hardware apparently slows down the video card slightly causing little distortion lines[1] to appear in X. :( [1] Lines approximatly 1/4" tall, that move slowly up the screen (it takes about 8 seconds to traverse the screen, and only one line shows up at a time). -- _ _ _ ___ ____ ___ ______________________________________ / \/ \ | ||_ _|| _ \|___| | Jason Andresen -- jandrese@mitre.org / /\/\ \ | | | | | |/ /|_|_ | Views expressed may not reflect those /_/ \_\|_| |_| |_|\_\|___| | of the Mitre Corporation.
