Do you have a /boot/kernel.old/kernel that works ?
Always save a working kernel !!! with current.
If you have a good /boot/kernel.old/kernel
Then when the machine is booting stop it at the OK prompt.

OK unload
OK load boot/kernel.old/kernel
OK boot
then recvsup
