Hi - it might be worth updating the current avifile port to a more recent CVS version - the 20010429 version you're currently using has some performance problems with some divx movies that seem to have been fixed in more recent checkouts. I noticed this after upgrading from 0.53.5 and seeing all my divx stuff dropping frames. A build of the current CVS tree today resulted in a version that performs correctly. james -- The wheel is still turning, but the hamster is dead.
