That's a very strange problem with Intel DQ965GF board (also detected with 945 boards) - when I enable Serial Port in BIOS on this board and install FDD, system does not boot - when it try to detect FDD at kernel loading process, it tried to do something with FDD and loops here endlessly. When I disable Serial Port in BIOS - all OK. What can I do, when I need Serial Port and FDD simultaneously? This board has only one port, and settings for this port (io, irq) cannot be changed - this is an Intel "fool-protected" BIOS :->>> -- With Best Regards. Rashid N.
