The following reply was made to PR kern/73669; it has been noted by GNATS. From: Arne "Wörner" <arne_woerner@yahoo.com> To: freebsd-gnats-submit@FreeBSD.org Cc: Subject: Re: kern/73669: [bktr] [patch] allow /sys/dev/bktr to support Pinnacle PCTV Rave cards Date: Tue, 9 Nov 2004 17:29:37 -0800 (PST) I would like to mention, that kern/73324 might treat a similar problem. Maybe there are different PCTV Rave models on the market? At least I do not believe, that the patches from kern/73324 solve my problem (I think a non Brooktree tuner needs often a different initialization and dinosaurs are thin at the one end, then they get thicker and again thin at the other end), although I did not try it... :-) If somebody thinks, that I should try it, I need a short notice, maybe because I am too lazy... My dmesg says about my Pinnacle PCTV Rave card: Nov 9 13:01:04 neo kernel: bktr1: <BrookTree 878> mem 0xdfcfc000-0xdfcfcfff irq 10 at device 9.0 on pci0 Nov 9 13:01:04 neo kernel: bktr1: [GIANT-LOCKED] Nov 9 13:01:04 neo kernel: bktr1: tuner @ 0xc0 Nov 9 13:01:04 neo kernel: bktr1: MT2032: Companycode=4d54 Part=04 Revision=04 Nov 9 13:01:04 neo kernel: bktr1: Pinnacle PCTV Rave, MT2032 tuner. -Arne __________________________________ Do you Yahoo!?
