It's been a while since I've tinkered with xxd.  Let's see:
1. Run xxd from command prompt.
2. Type Delete.
3. Type Enter.
4. Type Ctrl+D.
You'll see some codes before the "0a" (because "0a" is newline).
I can't remember what I did to get the Backspace codes.
