I have been unable to get linux emulation working on my FreeBSD 2.2.7 machine. I followed the instructions in the handbook and it seems to be ok when I run a modstat I see the linux_mod entry and when I installed the linux libraries it doesn't give me any errors and there is a /compat/linux structure with all apparent components. I ran the ldconfig and it completes without any complaints, but when I run the test that the handbook suggest I get a /lib/ld-linux.so.2: not found error. At first glance, it just seems like a path problem, so I thought I would be smart and create a symbolic link pointing to the library directory it is looking for, but then it complains about ')' error of some sort. If anyone has any help for me I would be greatly appreciative, thanks. Jim Barker To Unsubscribe: send mail to majordomo@FreeBSD.org with "unsubscribe freebsd-questions" in the body of the message
