Wouldn't you like this patch to apply? Why not support bzip2'ed patch files as well as distfiles? :) Those who are distributing tarballs in bzip2 format would be likely to distribute diffs also in bzip2 format. In such cases, bzip2 will be installed anyway; there should be nothing but a less disk/bandwidth usage merit.
