Have you looked at Amanda (from .../ports/misc/amanda24, www.amanda.org)?
While I don't have a TB of data, I do use Amanda to do my backups and
it has facilities to automatically change my 4-tape juke box. The code
is a wrapper around "chio" so if your juke responds to the SCSI
commands Amanda can drive it.
