Well, my use-paradigm for the computer is seriously impaired for one.
Also, it's intermittent enough, I can't really prove any particular
item "fixes" it by simply disabling that item.  Any way to stick one's
fingers into acpi or do some kind of logging on it instead?

Well,  certainly something to try anyway, since it's pretty much of a
coaster at the moment....
