	ASUS P5A, BIOS 1011-beta, K6-2 500Mhz, Advansys ASC3150C rev B
SCSI adapter, HP CD-writer plus 9200 cdrw

>Description:
System locks up when trying to burn CD with Advansys host adapter.
Also locked once when trying to mount a CD that worked in the
ATAPI CDROM. Rebooted (after disabling aha driver in
	/boot/device.hints - was trying a 1542 card). Following reboot
was able to mount a CD in the cdrw, but attempting to write
consistently caused lockup. cdrecord -blank appeared to work,
but system froze as soon as write began. ( Always hit the reset
button with "0 of 243 megabytes written" on the screen. )

Replaced Advansys card with an Adaptec 2940, and all is well.
>How-To-Repeat:
Should be repeatable on a pristine 5.1R install with Advansys
card. The only changes made were adding pcm to kernel, and

	kern.timecounter.hardware=TSC

to /etc/sysctl.conf to work around a clock speed doubling problem
caused by ACPI. Also enabled aha by commenting out the disabled=1
line in /boot/device.hints and tried a 1542 card (system
hung at boot - separate report) but restored device.hints to
	its original state.
>Fix:
	Unknown
