https://bugs.freebsd.org/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=3D209718 Bug ID: 209718 Summary: -DNO_ROOT+WITHOUT_NIS results in an invalid nsswitch.conf Product: Base System Version: 11.0-CURRENT Hardware: Any OS: Any Status: New Severity: Affects Some People Priority: --- Component: conf Assignee: freebsd-bugs@FreeBSD.org Reporter: markj@FreeBSD.org When WITHOUT_NIS is set, some code in /etc/Makefile will edit the installed nsswitch.conf to remove NIS compat DBs and sources. When building with -DNO_ROOT, the size of nsswitch.conf is recorded in the mtree log before th= is edit is performed, so the logged size is different (smaller) than that of t= he edited nsswitch.conf. This results in a truncated nsswitch.conf if the mtree file is used with makefs to create a filesystem image, for example. --=20 You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug.=
