I can't get a 4.7 cd to boot , the bios does not recognise the cd as bootable. I can boot cds I have writen for the earlyer version of freebsd. I tried booting the cds on 4 different pcs. All the pcs boot earlyer versions of freebsd just fine. I burned copies of 4.7 disk 1 and disk 2 on three different cdrom writer drives (one linux cdrecord, two using roxio esay cd creator 5). All the cds verify correctly. All the cds can be mounted and read ok on linux or freebsd. None of them are bootable. I tried them on three AMD machines (1000mhz, xp 1600, xp1800) and an intel P4 machine. I have no troubles booting cdroms I write of the pre 4.7 .ISO images burned on the same burners and blank cds on all 4 machines. There is a thread on the questions@freebsd.org with the subject "Solution to why my 4.7 CD wouldn't boot my machine". This other users seems to have had the same problem. He was unable to boot cds writthen onto 700mb/80min cds but could boot them if burned unto 650mb/74min cds. I went to all the shops here and cant find 74min blanks anywhere.
