This is not a book, but there are a number of useful links at 
http://www.shelldorado.com/links/index.html#tutorials - many of which 
pertain to Bourne shell. In particular 
http://www.grymoire.com/Unix/Sh.html and 
http://steve-parker.org/sh/sh.shtml have been helpful for me. Maybe they 
will be for you also.
