Hi !

I've just downloaded a port of my apsfilter program
to ftp.freebsd.org:/pub/FreeBSD/incoming.

I had 2 unsuccessfull upload sessions, so dont wonder, why
these is so much different stuff lying there around with
the name apsfilter....

The two files, that are ok are:
apsfilter-4.9.2-port.tgz	<-	this is the small Port archive
					that should be extracted in
					/usr/ports/print

apsfilter-4.9.2.tar.gz.hope_this_gets_uploaded
^^^^---	this package should be placed
somewhere on wcarchive, since this is a FreeBSD
special version, that is currently on no other
		ftp site available.
Please rename it to apsfilter-4.9.2.tar.gz ;-)
Yestarday evening Internet was so busy, that the
upload f***** up when having uploaded about 50%

After choosing a place for the "sources" you have only to
edit the Makefile in the ports files, to change the Master
ftp site.

The installation method is interactive.

make -> creates work/apsfilter directory in /usr/ports/print/apsfilter-4.9.2
make install -> calls the install section in work/apsfilter/Makefile.
It copies the files to /usr/local/apsfilter
It calls the interactive SETUP program from there

After that you have made a fine PS printer out of your HP DeskJet 500
(for example) ;-))

For what I had no time ... Package dependencies. To use all the
features of file type conversion, you should install the following
packages before installing apsfilter:

	a) ghostscript (2.6 and the never 3.66 (?) are fine
	b) netpbm
	c) transfig
	d) jpeg
