I'm not sure that I can tell the difference between a hardwired device and
one that is setup by the PnP/ISA 3c5x9 enumerator.  I suppose I could
cheat and init the softc in the IDENTIFY or something...

I'm going to look closer at those two drivers and find the place where
they disagree with if_ep.
