|Hi, I've been trying to get sound to work in FXTV for a while, |to no avail. I can get sound in the tuner app for win95, but not FXTV. |Other sounds do work though, (tkdesk plays a sound on startup). |I've got a zoltrix tv/max bt848 PCI card, and an old |SB16 value sound card. | |It says in the README for FXTV that VoxWare snd driver (3.0-beta-950506) |is required. I'm running 2.2.2-RELEASE. Is this driver, or a later |version included in this release? if not where can I get it? Interesting. I believe that 2.2.2's sound driver is the 3.0-beta-950506. At any rate, I have a SB32 (a SB16 + AWE synth), and I get sound with no problems. A couple things to check. Do you get sound if you plug something else (e.g. a receiver) into the line in of your SB16? If not, check the line-in volume control. If still not, probably a soundcard detection problem. Don't know about the Zoltrix card, but I assume it has a line out. Is this plugged into the line in of your audio card? Under FreeBSD, do you get sound if you plug the line out of your Zoltrix card into something else (a receiver)? If not, the bt848 driver may not be initializing the Zoltrix card completely (which wouldn't surprise me since the Hauppauge, STB [and Amancio's Intel card] are the ones that have gotten the most use under FreeBSD). Randall
