The 9500S-4LP is reliable and fast running on
FreeBSD 5.3-BETA3

Note there are versions in the 9000 series which connect
via a Multi-lane (MI) backplane to the disks.

These have the MI designator in the model number.

If you want to connect the disks with standard sata cables
you'll need the non-MI version.
