Ok, it at depends what your PS1 variable is set to.. In bash type in "set|more" and take note of the PS1 variable.. Then try export PS1='$HOSTNAME>' or better yet export PS1='$USERNAME@$HOSTNAME>' -Lefty On Tue, 18 Nov 1997, Jonathan E.
