Should have mentioned the following:
- Installs as gtar, so doesn't collide with our version of tar
  in the base system.
- Default archive in tar 1.12 is stdout not /dev/rst0 or something
  Do you want, that I change the port to our default /dev/rst0 ?

BTW, tried to merge in some of our changes, but gtar has changed much
and I noticed that some of our fixed went in.
One change I wanted to apply used variables and goto marks that 
doesn't exist anymore ;-)
Would be great if people could try, if it's completely functional,
so perhaps it could be merged later into -current's contrib tree
for 3.0.
