Just a little thing though - I'm pretty new to freebsd (but quite familiar with linux and solaris) so I looked to the handbook on how to configure my wireless settings (http://www.freebsd.org/doc/en_US.ISO8859-1/books/handbook/network-wireless.html) and I just noticed one oversight - with the line outlined below:

The line you are talking about is really specific as stated in the
previous sentence: 'If you have a single AirPort base station you can
setup access with something like:

ifconfig_ath0="authmode shared wepmode on weptxkey 1 wepkey 01234567
DHCP" '
Then 3 sentences later you are pointed to the "29.3.3.1.4 WEP" section.
This section gives more details.
