On a FreeBSD 5.5-PRERELEASE (circa ~Feb 16) system with up-to-date
ports (circa ~Feb 20), in particular with nvidia-driver-1.0.8178 and
xorg-server-6.9.0, I see the following issue:

If xorg-server-6.9.0 is installed before nvidia-driver-1.0.8178, then
many X applications crash (xpdf when you attempt to print and click
the "Print with command" button; openoffice.org when you start it;
emacs when you touch the X menus; etc).

If xorg-server-6.9.0 is (re-)installed after nvidia-driver-1.0.8178,
then all problems disappear.

There appears to be no dependency between xorg-* and nvidia-* but it
seems that nvidia-* should be installed after xorg-* based on how X
libraries are actually replaced.

This is a combination FYI and "Am I doing something wrong?"

Regards,
Loren
