Hi,

(Please Cc: me in your replies.)

I'm trying to run TinyBSD in Qemu, using the -nographic mode. Thus
I need to configure FreeBSD to use a serial console.

% # cat /mnt/md/boot.config
% -h
% # cat /mnt/md/boot/loader.conf
% console="comconsole"
% boot_serial="YES"

When I run Qemu with this command:
% qemu -hda tinybsd.img -m 64 -nographic -serial telnet:127.0.0.1:1234,server

I get the following output, when telnet(1)'ing to 127.0.0.1:1234:
% Trying 127.0.0.1...
% Connected to localhost.
% Escape character is '^]'.
% /boot.config: -hConsoles: serial port
% BIOS drive C: is disk0
% BIOS 639kB/64512kB available memory
%
% FreeBSD/i386 bootstrap loader, Revision 1.1
% (root@jarjarbinks.octobre.int, Fri Oct 20 22:23:14 UTC 2006)
% Loading /boot/defaults/loader.conf
% /boot/kernel/kernel text=0x337d74 data=0x357c4+0x3125c syms=[0x4+0x42d60+0x4+0x5527d]
% can't open '/boot/beastie.4th': no such file or directory
%
% -
% Hit [Enter] to boot immediately, or any other key for command prompt.
% Booting [/boot/kernel/kernel]...
% -

And the output stalls here. Any idea what's happening ? Does the kernel
switch back console to vga ?

Thank you.
Cheers,
