Hi again i thought i had to change my root passwd because maybe i didnt type it in right the first time . so i changed it.i noticed that when you recieve a new password for root it only shows for password not login So apparently im not getting it the welcome screen ask me for a login and a password. When i made a new password for root it doesnt show any login name. I have my new Root password now. Could you please tell me how i might go about using it Also when i used the shutdown command it asked me for password So i used the root password there and see if it works All it said is permission Denied Im obviously very confused at this point I hope we can all get at the 'ROOT' of this problem:) ThankYou in advance........
