Hi all, I got a question: My motherboard gigabyte GA-945GCM-S2C does support SATA 300 my Hardware is SATA 300 but FreeBSD says it is SATA-150 Config: Core 2 Duo E6300 @ 2.66Ghz 2x1GB Kingston DDR2-533@667mhz >From dmesg: atapci1: <Intel ICH7 SATA300 controller> port 0xd400-0xd407,0xd800-0xd803,0xdc00-0xdc07,0xe000-0xe003,0xe400-0xe40f irq 19 at device 31.2 on pci0 ad7: 476940MB <MAXTOR STM3500320AS MX15> at ata3-slave SATA150 [root@gw ~]# uname -a FreeBSD gw.class.local 7.0-STABLE FreeBSD 7.0-STABLE #5: Sun May 25 00:52:16 UTC 2008 root@gw.class.local:/usr/src/sys/i386/compile/gw i386 [root@gw ~]# The funny thing is. If I start the freebsd installer CD on my Desktop machine (Asus Maximus Formula Mobo ICH9R) FreeBSD also detects my harddrives as SATA-150 On Windows XP running Everest both motherboard see the harddrives as SATA300. And I so stupid and I'm missing something or I'm so Stupid to setup FreeBSD? Best Regards, Mauro Ribeiro
